Electric Vehicle (EV) EVSE Charger J1772 adapter can be used for wheels or scooters or any device that accepts 110-240V,
Many devices such as cell phones, laptops, electric bicycles, scooters, electric unicycles (EUCs),
electric skateboards (esk8 or e-skate) have power supplies designed to work with global voltages,
so make sure your device accepts 240V before plugging in this 240V adapter.
This adapter does not provide power from your vehicle.
This adapter will allow you to charge from any EV charging point with the J1772 connector.
A special circuit is built in to simulate the presence of an electric car via the pilot protocol for the control of a public electric car charger,
so 240V of power can be distributed effortlessly to your device.
For those with access to a Tesla Destination charger (not a Tesla supercharger), there are sellers of adapters,
such as the "TeslaTap" (not included), available from the Tesla to the J1772. Then using this adapter,
you can switch from TeslaTap's J1772 to a regular 2 - or 3-pin connector that provides 240V.
NEMA 5-15 connectors are provided to be compatible with existing devices such as ebike/scooter/onewheel/ laptop chargers that are already
equipped with standard NEMA 5-15 power cords that can operate at 120 or 240V (most of which have universal voltage inputs).
The adapter can safely output 240V up to 20 amps, equivalent to 4800 watts.
